Background information
The St. Stephen Secondary School was established in 2015 by the Brothers of St. Charles Lwanga to assist the vulnerable boys and girls from poor families from Kimaeti community, under the Catholic Diocese of Bungoma, Kimaeti Sub-county, Bumula constituency, Bungoma County, Kenya. The Roman Catholic Brothers of St. Charles Lwanga had an aim of starting this school to provide quality, holistic and affordable education empower vulnerable young boys and girls so that they become responsible young citizens and useful members of the society. The Brothers hoped to subsidize fees and therefore enable the vulnerable boys and girls from the community access education at an affordable low cost. The school has currently an enrolment of 137 students from form one to four with a teaching staff of 10 members. The school is located in Sikhendu village, Napara sub-location, Napara Location, Kimaeti Sub-county, Bumula constituency.
